There is a certain magic to a summer wedding. Long golden evenings, guests lingering a little longer than they planned, the clink of glasses, and food that gives everyone a reason to gather close.

When Jordana and Ryan asked us to cater their summer celebration, we knew exactly what we wanted to create: a spread that felt abundant and personal, built from clean ingredients and cooked from scratch, served with the kind of warmth that makes people feel taken care of. Summer is our favorite season to cater, and this wedding was a perfect example of why. Here is a look at the day, the menu, and a few of the moments we love most.

Cocktail Hour:

It Starts With the First Bite

Cocktail hour is where the tone gets set, so we like to lead with something memorable. Our Honey Roasted Fig and Mascarpone Crostini did exactly that. Toasted crostini, creamy mascarpone, sweet roasted fig, and a peppery bite of fresh arugula on top. It is the kind of small plate that stops a conversation for a second while everyone figures out what they just tasted. Passed trays keep guests mingling and give the whole room a lift right out of the gate.

The Main Event:

An Abundant Summer Buffet

For the main event, we built a generous buffet designed to feel like a table you never want to leave. A Harvest Salad, Banh Mi Tacos, Mini Cheeseburger Sliders, a Mediterranean Pita Bar, Bruschetta on Pesto Crostinis, and a Pasta Station featuring Tuscan Pasta with Grilled Chicken, Penne Ala Vodka, and Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo, all arranged with height and texture so the line itself looks as good as it tastes. A great buffet is not just about volume. It is about flow, presentation, and making sure the last guest through the line has just as beautiful a plate as the first.

From the Sea:

Bright, Basil-Finished Shrimp

No summer celebration is complete without something from the sea. Our shrimp came off the line seasoned, seared, and finished with fresh basil for a bright, herbaceous note. Simple, clean, and exactly what summer should taste like. It was one of the first pans to empty, which is always the sign of a dish done right.

Behind The Bar:

A Bar That Keeps the Party Going

Hospitality does not stop at the food. Our bar team kept the drinks flowing and the line moving, with wine, chilled cans, sparkling options, and plenty of smiles behind the counter. A well-run bar is one of the quiet things that makes or breaks the guest experience, and ours is built to keep people happy and cared for from the first pour to the last toast.

The Little Things:

The Moments That Matter Most

Unreasonable hospitality in action: our chef taking a moment with a guest and her little one.  Photo by The Delac Collective.

This is the photo that captures what we are really about. A guest with her sleeping baby, a chef stepping over to check in, and a small, unhurried moment of care in the middle of a busy reception. We believe hospitality is personal. Excellence in the kitchen matters, but it is these little acts of attention that people remember long after the last plate is cleared. That is the standard we hold every single event to.
